Looking to map out your next music purchase? Check out the Communion After Dark DJ's favorite albums of the month!
Having difficultly locating where to buy this music? Since most stores in the U.S. don’t stock music from the genres we play it can be a real pain, but you can go our route: mail order. We use the online store Isolation Tank. Many labels, such as Metropolis Records, also offer CDs, and most artists have posted their libraries on their own sites, such as Bandcamp, or at the major digital outlets, such as iTunes, Amazon, etc

Blaqk Audio - Material

Davey Havok and Jade Puget – better known as one half of goth-punk royalty AFI – revive their electro side-project with ‘Material’. It’s another richly woven tapestry of dark-hearted fare which draws on influences as disparate as The Pet Shop Boys and Ministry with aplomb.

Blaqk Audio - Material

From the seductive, biblical overtones of ‘Anointed’ to the unashamedly camp synth-pop of ‘I’m A Mess’, the skill and ease of songwriting the duo bring to the table is a delight. If you can listen to this and not want to head straight to a dingy basement nightclub, it might be worth checking you still have a pulse.

THYX - Headless

A side project by mind.in.a.box mastermind Stefan Poiss, THYX is a unique project, blending the electronic sounds, bombastic arrangements, melodies and voices of MIAB with an almost prog-rock vibe. On the new album Headless, Poiss blends guitars and atmospheric tones blend seamlessly with dance beats and trance rhythms to pull the listener along on a journey through another musical dimension.
