Beborn Beton - A Worthy Compensation

"A Worthy Compensation" is a masterpiece of electronic pop - deep, timeless and melancholic with some well-dosed pathos. Songs and lyrics get under the skin in the long run, not least thanks to Olaf Wollschläger, who emphasises their strengths in an exceptional manner.

Beborn Beton - A Worthy Compensation

Due to Stefan Netschio's trademark voice and Stefan Tillmann's nifty songwriting, each track conveys a unique atmosphere without sounding rushed or forced - a rare thing for music from this genre. In this way, Beborn Beton naturally bridge the gap between the 1980s and current productions.

MONO Inc. - Terlingua

Terlingua has a very distinct flavor, contrasting German and English lyrics, European vibes with wide open Texas plains and crunchy guitars with more pop driven elements. Terlingua takes the listener on a journey, but it is never jarring, instead it is artful and oftentimes majestic.

Technolorgy - Dying Stars

“Dying Stars” is Technolorgy’s second album – yet in many ways it is their first. Where the debut was in many ways a compilation of tracks written individually and over several years, “Dying Stars” demonstrates the smooth conceptual feel of a record written to be heard as a whole – and steps away from the duo’s dark electro roots in a significantly synth-poppier direction.

Phosgore - Pestbringer

With PESTBRINGER, the creative (and blasted) minds behind PHOSGORE – Flo and Sonja – managed to reinvent and augment their already hard-line noise. Brutal bass lines congregate with shattering drums and extremely aggressive melodies. This is music which infects its listeners like a virus. With PESTBRINGER, PHOSGORE are darker and dirtier than ever before.

Steril - Misanthrop

This new album by Steril first of all is the come-back of an ‘early’ 90s EBM band that got signed to Off Beat. “Misanthrop” marks their come back and I can already reveal this is a great, outstanding piece of EBM. This album has been released by the brand-new German label Frankahdafi Records, which is totally devoted to old-school EBM. Albums seem to be strictly limited to 242 (!) copies, which clearly indicate what this label stands for.

Biomekkanik - Violently Beautiful

‘Violently Beautiful’ is the second album by Swedish three-piece BIOMEKKANIK, a spirited jump through a variety of electronic musical hoops, but assured and full of purpose. There is much drivel produced in and around the so-called synth-pop genre, so it is hugely refreshing to hear some genuine talent and ambition based on experience, and a quiet confidence in the actual song-writing that lets everything breathe in a natural and organic way. It’s good stuff.

ES23 - Mutatio Ex Machina

The strong mixture of warm melodies and harsh, rough electronic beats is the unique sound „ES23“ creates. Songs like „Mutatio“, „What if“ (in a fully new recorded version) , „Open the Gates“ or „Nightmare“ show the variety in the bands sound. With „Wired“ and „This is Anarchy“ they present guest vocalists to their songs similar to their debut album „Heaven or Hell“ while the song „Change“ is completely written by band member Pat Rinzler. As addition to the new album the CD features remixes by „Chrom“, „Readjust" and „Chainreactor“. The most varied album produced by „ES23“ so far, MUTATIO EX MACHINA!

BhamBhamHara - Progressive Body Music

BhamBhamHara doesn’t really care about fashion trends and stereotypes. This album sounds like an uncompromising composition bringing elements of dark- and dance/techno music together. No doubt about it this is the kind of opus that is made to conquer the dancefloors. The EBM element remains an essential aspect of the sound. That’s what the last part of the album seems to show. “Gottes Zorn” and “Anchorman” both are essential cuts made of an EBM molt. The bass lines are irresistible while some technoid arrangements make it all pure BhamBhamHara.

Electro Spectre - Bullets and Desert Blooms

This is the band's fourth studio album, given the spectacular title "Bullets & Desert Blooms", an album that should not only prove ELECTRO SPECTRE belongs in the "major league" of modern synth-pop, but also allow the band to make a step forward in its career. Staying in their own unique "dark noir" style, Alexander Bjorneboe and Isak Rypdal set out to make an album that would contain only solid & catchy songs - songs that would be able to hold the listener's attention from the first to the last second. The new album is a union between the past and present of electronic pop music, between modern music technology and vintage retro atmosphere of the 1980s.

HARMJOY - Silver Lining of the Mushroom Cloud

With their debut album, "Silver Lining of the Mushroom Cloud," the German-American electro-synth duo Harmjoy embraces the beats of bleeding edge technology and echoes the Cold War aesthetics of 1950s household fetish. Well, perhaps there is something left to say after all. This, however, is only due to the fact that Peter Spilles never tires of reinventing himself, his project and his sound, never stops to reflect his art and never gives in the temptation to rest on his laurels. Transferring this abstract drivel into music is once again done with Blood. No call to arms, no tiresome exaggeration of ridiculous extremes. No, Blood is nothing short of a hardened proof that every revolution is bound to shatter on this stronghold called Project Pitchfork – and this even holds true after more than 20 years.

Leaether Strip - Aescapism

This album was composed and recorded from late summer 2013 to early January this year, and it's a mixture between my harsh side and softer melancholic and nostalgic side. As many of you know I love the sound of the 80's and there is still that element of oldschool when I listen to the album and the harsh danceable electro/ebm I love so much. I'm sure people who knows my sound will recognize it on "Æscapism". It's still Leæther Strip as you know it. I sincerely hope you will like my new album.

r.i.p. (roppongi inc. project) are essentially two russian dj's - negative and fomin - and this second offering paves the way to their future full length release! it opens with the original "Schnarch Suite" a track characterised by harmonically integrated "snoring" samples and numerous fuzzed sounds accompanied with powerful and driving kicks. additionally, there are many brilliant remixes by noisuf-x, amduscia, cynical existence, detuned destruction, komor kommando, mono dual, nightmare of cain, and statik sky. "schnarch suite" is stunning russian techno/industrial at its best, simply a must-have.

The overwhelming co-existence of synthetic sounds and classical stylistics has always been the main attraction that provides the unusual and extraordinary characteristics of Diary of Dreams, as – without doubt – this new album proves once again.

Faderhead - Atoms and Emptiness

Only 11 months after the successful "FH4"-album, Faderhead is back once again to release his new Album. On "Atoms & Emptiness" Faderhead impressively shows how a mixture of EBM, Industrial, Elektro and Synthpop needs to sound in the year 2014 and once again leaves the competition in the dust, wondering how he did it again!? Clubtracks like "Stand up", "When the Freaks come out" or "You can't resist" are fluently mixed with Future Pop songs like "Someone Else's Dream" and "Every Hour kills" (written in cooperation mit Daniel Myer of HAUJOBB) as well as cinematic sounding Ballads like the title track "Atoms & Emptiness".

Epinephrin - Alles Auf Anfang

Epinephrin was founded in 2004 by Pascal Beniesch ([x]-Rx) as his first musical endeavor. Shortly after, the first track "664" was released, and was very well received by the internet community. Encouraged by this positive response, Pascal began to produce more tracks.

Epinephrin is not exactly the kind of band that will appeal for the regular synth-pop lover. The work definitely sounds harder and brutal. The rather furious and enraged vocals, which have been co-produced by Krischan Wesenberg (Rotersand) injects an obscure touch to the music.
